Grid 3.0, a Full-Featured Smart Grid, Will Keep Us Competitive in the 21st Century

Smart Grid projects underway across the country will light the path to a more efficient, more affordable, and more environmentally benign electricity system.

Steve Hauser is Vice President, Grid Integration, at National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where he is responsible for creating strategies and programs to lead national efforts to create a smarter grid. He is President Emeritus of the GridWise Alliance and Secretary of the Smart Grid Policy Center. Mr. Hauser has held senior management positions at GridPoint, Batelle, and SAIC. He holds an M.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Washington and a B.S. in engineering physics from Oregon State University.
