The Australian Energy Council thanked Stephen Davy, who was Deputy Chair of the Council for two years up to the end of 2019 and contributed a lot to the Australian energy industry while taking up that post.
The Australian Energy Council’s Chief Executive, Sarah McNamara, personally thanked Stephen Davy for his service and invaluable support and guidance. She also congratulated him on his management of Hydro Tasmania, which was successful. According to her, “his knowledge and vision have had an important influence on the energy industry and governments alike.”
About the Australian Energy Council
The council represents major businesses operating in the electricity and downstream natural gas markets, both wholesale and retail. These businesses make up the great part of the market in Australia, providing over 10 million customers with gas and electricity.
The council has been operating since January 1, 2016. Sarah McNamara was appointed as Chief Executive in July 2018, accepting the post from Matthew Warren, inaugural Chief Executive since January 1, 2016.
